Two days ago, we got to celebrate our victory! Marriage equality prevailed, and you can bet DC was thrilled.
All around the Nation’s Capital and especially online, LGBTQ folks and allies gathered to voice their excitement and support.
The timing was particularly great because Pride parties are still going on around the country. Here is a little memento from our DC celebrations a few weeks ago.
A photographer from Tagg magazine snapped this picture of us and posted it in their albums on Facebook and Flickr.
It feels nice to have the little happy tipsy memory from the official lesbian party of DC Pride. Howard Theater was full of women and a few gay guys, drinking and dancing the night away. I am a little envious of those who have yet to have their official Pride parties, after the Supreme Court decision. I can only imagine the intensity of the upcoming celebrations!
More on our victory later…
